Daretable – Event Registration Terms & Conditions
1. Agreement to Terms
By registering as an attendee, speaker, volunteer, or sponsor of Daretable (collectively, “Participant”), you agree to abide by and be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Registration & Payment
All registration fees must be paid in full at the time of registration.
Registrations are non-refundable. Any additional costs (e.g. travel, lodging) are the sole responsibility of the Participant.
You may transfer your registration to another person (subject to organizer approval) by notifying us in writing by [insert cutoff date].
3. Event Cancellation or Postponement
Daretable organizers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event for any reason.
In the event the organizers cancel the event (not caused by Participant), registered Participants will receive a full refund of the registration fee.
The organizers are not liable for any other expenses (e.g. travel, lodging, meals) incurred by Participants.
4. Force Majeure
The organizers are not responsible for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond their control (natural disasters, governmental acts, pandemics, etc.). Refunds or alternative arrangements in such cases are at the discretion of the organizers.
5. Assumption of Risk & Release
Participation in Daretable activities is voluntary. You assume all risks associated with attendance (including injury, property damage, etc.).
You release Daretable, its organizers, and affiliates from any liability for claims arising from participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of the organizers (and its agents) to any Participant is limited to the amount paid by that Participant under this Agreement. In no event shall organizers be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
7. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of New York, USA. Any disputes or claims arising will be resolved first through good-faith negotiations. If unresolved, disputes may be brought before the courts in New York City, New York, USA.
8. Conduct & Removal
Daretable is committed to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment. Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally. The organizers reserve the right to remove any participant for conduct that violates these principles, without refund.
9. Food, Dietary Needs & Health
Reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate food sensitivities. However, the organizers cannot guarantee full accommodation, and are not liable for adverse reactions.
10. Speaker / Content Rights
Speakers grant Daretable a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and create derivative works of their submitted content, in any media (including recordings, streaming, marketing).
Speakers represent that their content does not infringe on third-party rights.
Speakers may include a slide with their contact information or share it verbally during their session. However, presentation time may not be used for direct sales pitches, promotional offers, or similar solicitations. Such discussions are welcome during regular event networking or informal interactions outside of presentations.
11. Changes to Terms
The organizers may revise these Terms at any time. Continued registration or attendance implies acceptance of any such changes (provided reasonable notice is given).
12. Acknowledgment
By completing registration or participating in any Daretable event, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
